Dr. Felipe Galvao earned his veterinary degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil (2004). He completed an internship at Purdue University (2007-2008) and an internal medicine residency and master’s at The Ohio State University (2008-2011). He joined VCA in 2011 where he was Medical Director from 2012-2016 and Internship Director from 2015-2016. He was Adjunct Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University (2017-2019). Additionally, he is an Associate Editor for Veterinary Record, The Official Journal of the British Veterinary Association since 2017. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. He has a special interest in calcium-related disorders and interventional radiology & interventional endoscopy procedures.
