LARGE ANIMAL NEUROLOGY

This 7-hour course will cover large animal neurology, including equine and small ruminants, with a review of the neurological examination in large animal species. An overview of congenital, infectious, degenerative and toxic diseases will be covered. Clinical presentation, diagnostics including electrodiagnostics, therapy and prognosis will be included where indicated.     

Topics include:

  • Neurologic Examination in Large Animals  
  • Brain Disease;
  • Spinal Cord Disease
  • Neuromuscular Disease
  • Electrodiagnostics in Large Animals
  • Cerebrospinal Fluid Collection
  • Muscle and Nerve Biopsy Interpretation

Registration fee includes:

  • (7) modules containing pre-recorded lectures, proceedings and assessments.
  • 1 hour Live Q&A with the presenter, Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 8:00 am PDT / 9:00 am MDT / 10:00 am CDT / 11:00 am EDT. Live Q&A will be recorded and will be made available along with the recorded content for access at a future time.
  • Access to the modules until August 2025.

 

RACE application status

This program will be submitted for 7.0 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB RACE approval.
